...the way we were back in the day
We’ve been asking that question for ten years now. Wow, how time flies. When we first built WildAbout.com the Internet was like the California Gold Rush of the 19th century. In many ways if feels like it was that long ago. Our concept was to build a community collaboration framework…and we did.
We had the equivalent of a blog, and shared calendars, and chat (and it was animated with avitars), forums, photo albums, free email, and even auctions. Sort of a Fred Flintstone version of FaceBook plus many of the cool things Google makes possible today.
A little ahead of the times and technology curve, but spot on with what the world needs to communicate and share ideas.
We ran out of money, had to get real jobs… Needless to say we didn’t become Internet billionaires. But who wants to own basketball teams anyway?
